Responsibilities

Overview:

The Test Data Management team is seeking an experienced Technical Administrator to support current capabilities to meet our customers' evolving needs. Our team manages a diverse range of data types across Mainframe, Distributed, and Public Cloud platforms. Supplying test data sets to product teams is crucial for both production support and application development activities across the department. We are focused on modernizing our key processes related to multi-platform data reduction and data scrubbing to align with our evolving software solutions. Work Expectations:

As a new member of the product team, you will be expected to:

  • Learn and understand existing processes, applications, tools, and structures.
  • Oversee execution of large mainframe workflows that generate test data
  • Work with customers to understand their test data needs
  • Problem solve a variety of scenarios on the mainframe that process several types of data (IMS, DB2, VSAM, etc.)
  • Work closely with the service and support team for day to day activities
  • Provide thought leadership on future work related to mainframe tooling and automation
  • Offer service and support for Mainframe Scrubbing and Data Reduction processing.
  • Learn and apply Data Governance rules to test data processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other leads on the team to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrate strong technical, written, and communication skills.
  • Commit to achieving results with speed and quality.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mainframe development.
  • Deep experience working with relational data stores to design and develop systems for data reduction processing.
  • Proficiency in mainframe systems, data types, and common tooling
  • Mainframe languages like: JCL, Clist, Rexx, Skeletons, and LUA
  • Mainframe tools such as BMC and Control-M.
  • Organizational communication with customers and co-workers

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using IBM Optim Test Data Management (TDM)
  • Current Languages like Python, Java, etc.
  • Data Skills like SQL and Data Modeling
  • Data Governance
  • Test Practice / Test Data Management Experience

  • Potential starting salary range: $90,000 - $110,000. Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. (High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience)
