We are looking for a Yard Supervisor to join the team at our Evesham branch.

This is a full-time role working different shift patterns between the hours of  06:30 – 17:00 Monday-Friday, along with every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage and support your team ensuring that company standards are met and colleagues are provided with guidance and feedback to improve performance

• Train and mentor new team members on company policies, procedures, and customer service best practices

• Key Holder and Alarm Response duties

• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor

• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles 

• Stock control – ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained, as well as various stock-take duties

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service

• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs

• Provide advice on products and services with particular attention to cross-selling packages and services such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire

• Understand our approach to pricing and be able to communicate credible prices

• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required

• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in leading/ managing a team

• Builders Merchant experience is desirable but not essential

• Customer Service - High levels of customer satisfaction with frequently returning customers and growing live accounts

• Enthusiasm - You radiate positivity and possess an unyielding passion for the merchant world.
