What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects 

  • Managing Warehouse Operatives and Drivers when required

  • Producing monthly reports 

  • Supporting the Branch Director and Operations Manager 

  • Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning 

  • Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!) 

  • Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed 

  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products 

  • Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts 

  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority 

  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

What We’re Looking For 

  • Previous industry experience preferred 

  • Background within Warehouse Management, ideally within construction materials 

  • A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader 

  • A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a ‘customer 1st’ attitude 

  • Confident working both indoors and outdoors 

  • Strong focus on Health & Safety 

  • Commercial acumen
