What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure reliable and accurate delivery performance.
  • Optimise delivery schedules and transportation routes to minimise costs, delays, and inefficiencies.
  • Manage and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure logistics activity complies with company policies, legal obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate, resolve, and prevent logistics issues, delays, or service failures.
  • Support and guide logistics team members, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Use logistics systems and performance data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and support informed decision making.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align logistics activity with operational priorities, while working collaboratively with external partners.
  • Make sound, timely decisions relating to logistics planning, issue resolution, and resource utilisation, balancing cost, service, and compliance considerations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or transportation operations.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management capability.
  • Proficiency in logistics management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • A recognised qualification such as an NVQ in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is desirable, or equivalent practical experience.
