The strategy analyst supports Coffeehouse Development by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights that guide market planning, site evaluation, and reinvestment decisions. In this role, you will maintain and enhance existing data workflows, dashboards, and analytical tools while proactively identifying new opportunities to improve how data informs development activities. You will work closely with partners across Decision Science, Development, Reinvestment, and Starbucks Technology to ensure key stakeholders have the information they need to make confident, evidence‑based decisions. This role blends hands-on analytical work with business‑centric thinking, supporting daily operational needs while contributing to the continuous improvement of Coffeehouse Development strategy.
 
As a strategy analyst, you will…
  • Own analytical tools and dashboards: Maintain, improve, and create Alteryx workflows, Tableau dashboards, and other analytical assets that support Coffeehouse Development Market Planning, supporting strategic decision-making across the Development lifecycle.
  • Analyze data relevant to Coffeehouse Development: Explore, evaluate, and interpret data related to site selection, market planning, reinvestment, and Coffeehouse performance. Identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform Coffeehouse Development strategy and priorities. Flex between long term analytical domains, and frequent ad-hoc exercises.
  • Partner with Technology teams on data pipelines: Collaborate with Data Engineering and Technology partners to clean, transform, and manage ETL pipelines that deliver timely, accurate, and actionable data into production systems supporting Coffeehouse Development workflows.
  • Serve as a resource for geospatial and retail analytics: Provide analytical expertise in geospatial methods, trade area evaluation, and retail math to support market optimization, forecasting, and Coffeehouse development recommendations.

If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
 
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
