About this role

Now Brewing – Principal Digital Product Manager, Supply Chain

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and its rich traditions but also brought a sense of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

In this role you will drive step change improvement in supply chain outcomes by solving the most complex, system level problems and translating emerging capabilities, especially AI, into operational leverage. The principal product manager operates with broad scope, deep ownership, and hands on execution, acting as a force multiplier across products, teams, and decision frameworks.

As a principal digital product manager, you will

Own High Impact Supply Chain Problems

  • Lead product direction for complex supply chain domains (planning, inventory, replenishment, logistics, supplier performance).
  • Decompose ambiguous, cross system problems into clear, testable product strategies.
  • Focus on decision quality, economics, and real operational outcomes—not just feature delivery.

Apply AI Pragmatically and Hands On

  • Identify and validate where AI meaningfully improves supply chain decisions or productivity.
  • Partner directly with engineering and data science to prototype and de risk agents, copilots, and decision support tools.
  • Ground AI use cases in data reality, operational constraints, and clear ownership, then translate them into repeatable product patterns.

Operate as a Principal Level Problem Solver

  • Serve as a go to PM for the hardest, highest leverage challenges in the portfolio.
  • Roll up sleeves as needed—building analyses, artifacts, or prototypes to unblock progress.
  • Work fluidly across planning, execution, data, and platform boundaries.

Lead Through Influence and Integration

  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, data science, operations, and senior stakeholders.
  • Navigate tradeoffs, ownership gaps, and misaligned incentives to drive outcomes.
  • Help shape 12–24-month direction for supply chain capabilities, especially where AI changes what’s possible.

Multiply Product and PM Impact

  • Mentor PMs on systems thinking, problem framing, and AI augmented product development.
  • Set a high bar for product practice: clarity over cleverness, outcomes over outputs.
  • Create reusable playbooks and exemplars that raise product quality across the organization.

What Success Looks Like

  • AI delivers operationally meaningful impact across the supply chain portfolio.
  • Complex problems become faster and simpler to solve through better framing.
  • PMs operate with sharper judgment and higher leverage.
  • Product is experienced by partners as a driver of progress, not friction.

We'd love to hear from people with

  • 10+ years’ experience leading complex, system driven products, ideally in supply chain or data intensive domains.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in high ambiguity, high impact spaces.
  • Strong systems thinking, analytical rigor, and cross functional influence.
  • Hands on experience working with engineering and data science teams to deliver production systems.
