As a Marketing Manager at Starbucks, you will support the development of integrated marketing campaigns and brand programs that drive demand, increase store traffic, and deepen customer love for the brand. You’ll contribute to go-to-market plans and campaign development, shaping how millions of customers experience our brand across 17,000+ U.S. retail stores.

In this critical and collaborative role, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to bring brand moments and campaigns to life. You’ll help define business and consumer objectives rooted in customer insights and support execution across channels. As a manager, Brand Marketing, you will…

Campaign and Program Leadership

  • Assist in planning and execution of product launches and brand moments in partnership across Marketing, Brand Engagement, Menu, Operations, and Global Communications.

  • Develop consumer-centric briefs that guide cross-functional teams and campaign strategy based on strong business and customer insights.
  • Build salient go-to-market strategies that drive traffic, increase trial, and build brand equity.
  • Build & validate business cases for marketing and product initiatives.

     

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a connector across teams, advocating for the customer experience and supporting seamless execution.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams with initiative and purpose, helping drive alignment and accountability.
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders (including senior leaders) to inform prioritization and planning.

Strategic Thinking & Business Impact

  • Craft brand and business strategies, translating customer insights and market trends into actionable ideas that result in business impact.
  • Monitor performance of marketing initiatives, report on performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead a test-and-learn approach to drive innovation and growth; lead customer learning plans to inform strategy direction.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or product strategy, with hands-on involvement in campaign development and go-to-market execution.
  • Innate curiosity and growth mindset, with a proven ability to absorb feedback, adapt quickly, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Foundational knowledge of marketing strategy, consumer insights, and brand positioning, with a desire to deepen expertise.
  • Collaborative team player with experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and contributing meaningfully to shared goals.
  • Strong communicator, capable of crafting clear, compelling presentations for executive-level audiences, and distilling complex information into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency working with marketing platforms, media channels, and agency operations, with a willingness to explore new tools and trends.
  • Organized and agile, able to manage multiple priorities and pivot as needed with guidance and support.
  • Passionate about brand storytelling and customer experience, with a keen interest in consumer behavior, cultural trends, and emerging market dynamics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
