About this role

Some of what you will do:

The Technology Solutions Sales Specialist is responsible for developing relationships and penetrating IT products in existing and prospective Strategic, B2B Accounts within a defined portfolio /region. The Technology Solutions Sales Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for his/her assigned sales representatives and works with them to grow and develop technology. The Technology Solutions Sales Specialist is the key point of contact within the division regarding the sales of IT supplies.

 Specifically, You Will:

  • Works with their Sales Manager to develop IT Supplies sales strategies for their assigned territory/division
  • Trains and works with sales representatives on tech products, processes and buyers to increase their ability to access, persuade and close tech business
  • Occasionally conducts joint sales calls with sales reps to assist them in closing the sale
  • Participation in current account business reviews to introduce technology products and services and increase revenue while adding value to the account
  • Provides expertise and input to the corporate-wide technology program regarding product selection, training and issue resolution.
  • Achieve retention and penetration of IT products in existing OP accounts and new IT Accounts

Some of what you need:

  • Post secondary education in business related discipline – Diploma or Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of selling experience penetrating or maintaining accounts
  • Previous IT product industry experience required – high level of EUC (end-user computing) experience, including hardware, software and AI (including but not limited to laptops, desktops, headsets, etc.) as well as preferred tech certification/partner programs – including but not limited to Cisco/Microsoft/Lenovo/Adobe/HP or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of tech sales planning process. 
  • Strong computer literacy (experience with Salesforce.com an asset)
  • Computer literacy, including above average competency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
