About this role
Some of what you will do:
The Director of Online Marketplaces will be responsible for driving our online marketplace strategy, enhancing our presence across various platforms, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of e-commerce trends & operations, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing online marketplaces.
Specifically, You Will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive online marketplace strategy to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Oversee the management and optimization of listings, pricing, and promotions across multiple online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to align marketplace strategies with overall business objectives.
- Analyze marketplace performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage relationships with marketplace partners and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Lead the marketplace team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Develop and manage the online marketplace budget, including forecasting and reporting.
- Implement best practices for product listings, content optimization, and customer service to enhance the customer experience.
Some of what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; post-graduate and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in e-commerce, with a focus on online / B2B marketplaces.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market share in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of online marketplace dynamics, policies, and best practices.
