Our Water Group in Victoria has developed many long-term relationships in the water market, a strong pipeline of work, and has grown into a team of 100+ water professionals. We have a continues focus on growth over the next five years, and as such, we are seeking a Senior or Principal Process Engineer with specific wastewater process expertise to join our Melbourne team.
The Opportunity
- Undertaking options investigations, feasibility studies and reporting on a wide range of complex engineering projects such as water, wastewater, recycled water, resource recovery, biosolids, and odour treatment facilities.
- Leading project delivery and engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Applying experience and understanding of treatment projects from concept through to detailed design to ensure successful project delivery
- Leading project teams, ensuring high quality deliverables and budgets are met in a timely manner
- Work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure constructability of the process designs and compatibility with the design intent.
- Engaging in client facing activities to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Mentoring and sharing your project experience with junior engineers
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering, a minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in the water and wastewater industry. Experience in wastewater treatment process design and modelling would be advantageous.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Highly developed consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved and lead others, whilst contributing to a vibrant team.

What you'll do
- The role involves leading project delivery and engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment plant projects, as well as undertaking feasibility studies and reporting on complex engineering projects. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers and engage with clients to ensure project expectations are met.
