Your Opportunity

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for advancing the design portfolio of Stantec’s Austin interiors practice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovating workplace design concepts. As a Stantec Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft, combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills, and understand how to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Innovation in architecture and design;
  • Lead interior design teams on workplace projects;
  • Collaborate on workplace interiors projects including workplace strategy, programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development and management of budgets and schedules;
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents;
  • Participate in the selection of furniture systems and specifications;
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specification and material selections required for construction;
  • Work with consultants, corporate real estate teams, developers, furniture dealers, product reps and fabricators to meet overall project objectives;
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination;
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs;
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts;
  • Assure that design conforms to a contractual agreement with the client;
  • Establish and maintain ongoing productive client relationships;
  • Champion innovation in modular design, sustainability, and integrated building systems;
  • Develop and maintain Stantec's architectural standards, specifications, and design guidelines;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, accessibility standards, and environmental regulations;
  • Publish technical articles and contribute to thought leadership initiatives;
  • Balance strategic initiatives with hands-on project execution, managing multiple priorities in parallel;
  • Lead site planning, building layout, and integration of architectural systems across multiple disciplines.

 



Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
