Your OpportunityStantec is now accepting resumes for Summer 2026 Civil Engineering and Survey interns within our Community Development Group in San Antonio, Texas. As an intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to community development projects that may include urban design and planning, roadways, park and recreation design, multi-use trail and pathway design, traffic engineering, landscape architecture, assessment and rehabilitation, infrastructure design, water and wastewater conveyance, and storm water management. Your Key Responsibilities- Use technical and communication abilities to complete the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting
- Assist with preparation of plans and specifications, reports, and other project deliverables
- Attend meetings on an as needed basis
- Complete detailed reports as required
- Procure permits and other approvals from various agencies
- Communicate effectively with construction and engineering staff, clients, and other project stakeholders
- Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction documents
- Perform field surveys as a member of Stantec field crews, including control, topo, drainage, and utility surveys.
- Performing maintenance of traffic and safety protocols
- Process Field notes and field data
- Preparing Survey reports

What you'll do
- Interns will assist with the civil component of various community development projects and prepare plans, specifications, and reports. They will also perform field surveys and communicate with project stakeholders.
