Overview:

As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.

We’re hiring an HR Intern with 4–8 months availability (Winter or Spring start) for an urgent opening, with the opportunity to continue part-time after the term. 

The Human Resources student is involved in the day-to-day HR operations at StandardAero. This position is responsible to execute HR tasks while displaying professional conduct in the service delivery of all HR functions. This position is a key business partner to all departments within the facility, providing them with information and support for issues related to their employment including recruitment, company benefits, policies and procedures. This position requires an organized individual that can adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities while dealing with very sensitive and confidential information.

There are no physical demands on the incumbent however extended periods of time will be spent at a computer. The individual will be working in a customer orientated environment and therefore must be a patient individual capable of maintaining focus while interruptions are ongoing. Working environment is in an area that is well ventilated and air-conditioned. Overtime may be required from time to time

 

What you’ll do:

  • General administration of confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Support meetings, including organization and preparation 
  • Perform activities and maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS system 
  • Support the Learning & Development function with administrative tasks
  • Respond to emails and draft correspondence include offers of employment, personnel letters, government forms, etc.
  • Assist in the assignment OJT and Co-op school placements
  • Respond to employment questions from potential applicants and the general public. 
  • Actively participate in the Company’s employment equity goals
  • Assist in the coordination of various employee events and fundraising events.
  • Assist payroll department by providing employee information on leaves and employee benefits.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Current enrolment in post-secondary study in the field of HR Management or Business Administration or the desire to pursue post-secondary education in these fields.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
