Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Precision Grinder to work for a great company! The Precision Grinder will be responsible for producing tight-tolerance components that meet strict quality and customer specifications while supporting daily production goals in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate surface, OD/ID, magnetic chuck, CNC, and crush grinders
Read and interpret blueprints, job packets, and technical drawings
Select, dress, and maintain appropriate grinding wheels for each job
Inspect finished parts to confirm tight tolerances and high-quality finishes
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
Perform basic maintenance and light repairs on grinding equipment
Work with team members and engineers to resolve issues and improve processes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with company standards
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of precision grinding or high-tolerance machining experience
Hands-on experience with grinding machines, tooling, and materials
Strong ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Mechanical aptitude with solid problem-solving skills
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well within a team
