Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to support a busy manufacturing operation in Miami. This Material Handler role is responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the facility while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production flow.
What the Material Handler Will Be Doing
• Safely perform material handling tasks in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards
• Ensure machines are supplied with correct resins and additives per BOM
• Accurately complete all material transfers throughout the facility
• Inspect work orders to verify correct materials at each workstation
• Remove trash and scrap bins from production areas
• Stock production lines to required inventory levels
• Transfer finished goods to designated storage locations
• Move WIP and scrap to appropriate processing areas
• Record accurate weights for scrap, re-ground, and pelletized materials
• Complete daily inventory counts (finished goods, WIP, raw materials)
• Properly label materials with required product information
• Provide break relief to production associates as needed
• Communicate material status clearly between shifts
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications for the Material Handler
• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain
• 6+ months of related material handling or manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills
• Clear and effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ year of related material handling experience
• 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
Physical Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping
• Ability to tolerate repetitive motions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand on concrete for 8+ hours
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
