Pay: $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st Shift | Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview



We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support French drain installations and related construction projects. This Estimator role is responsible for evaluating project requirements, reviewing site conditions, and preparing accurate cost estimates to support sales and project management with reliable pricing and scope details.



What the Estimator Will Be Doing



• Review project requests, site information, and scopes of work for drainage and construction projects

• Perform on-site evaluations to assess drainage issues, soil conditions, and site access

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work

• Calculate quantities for piping, gravel, fabric, excavation, concrete, and restoration

• Develop written proposals and scope descriptions for customers

• Coordinate with operations and field crews to confirm feasibility and pricing accuracy

• Track material costs and update estimates based on supplier pricing

• Support project managers with job handoff documentation after contract award

• Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and approvals



Required Qualifications for the Estimator



• Experience estimating construction or drainage projects

• Working knowledge of French drain systems, excavation, and basic construction practices

• Ability to read site plans, sketches, and project specifications

• Strong math skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency with spreadsheets, estimating software, or job costing tools

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites



Preferred Qualifications



• Experience with residential or light commercial drainage systems

• Knowledge of grading, stormwater management, and soil conditions

• Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers

• Background in construction, landscaping, or excavation



Work Environment & Physical Requirements



• Combination of office work and field site visits

• Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• Ability to walk job sites, measure areas, and inspect conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Ability to stand, bend, and climb as required for site evaluations
