Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Rep in our Family Health Center Department. Will greet and register patients in a tactful and courteous manner. You will verify all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information and ensure accurate documentation in patient records. You will be responsible for registering, scheduling and additional reception duties at our front desk. In this role you will schedule and maintain daily appointments taking into consideration availability of resources and set up clinic for efficient management of appointment flow. You will notify patient of financial obligations for outpatient services. You will consult and collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialist to arrange patient appointments, referrals for continuity of care. Obtain prior authorizations for referrals as needed by insurances. Assist providers in obtaining HIPAA Medical release forms of patient medical records at other facilities/admissions/ED Visits. Assist on worklist/ques as assigned/necessary. This position will work in an outpatient clinic and will require rotating at other sites. Bilingual Spanish Preferred.
