Employment Status:  Permanent Full Time (38 hours Per week)

About the role:


St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Unit Manager – Intensive Care for join our team of highly skilled clinicians commencing in early January 2026.    Working in this dynamic, fast-paced unit you will be required to use your exceptional managerial skills combined with your sound clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality care in a rapidly changing environment. 

The Nurse Unit Manager – Intensive Care will work closely with our Assistant Director of Clinical Services to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care through efficient and effective management of human, financial and material. The role provides high levels of coordination to ensure optimal patient care, creating efficiency and building a team culture of exceptional customer service to ensure care is delivered within the regulatory frameworks.

Things that work for us: 

  • Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency registration as a Registered Nurse 

  • Minimum of five years recent experience in an ICU environment is essential

  • Post-graduate qualifications in leadership or post-graduate qualifications in critical care would be desirable

  • Exceptional organisation and coordination skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performing teams

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and legislation

  • Demonstrable achievement of organisational targets in resource management, budgeting and workforce planning

  • Experience providing advanced clinical care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility

Remuneration:

Remuneration for the role the role is $75.05 per hour + superannuation.
