Job Description:

Better and fairer care.  Always.

St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and nearly 30,000 people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. We are a microcosm of Australia’s health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.

We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

Are you ready to use your expertise to protect our planet while supporting world-class healthcare? Reporting directly to the Group ESG Lead, the National Environmental Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and delivery of environmental sustainability reporting.

This isn't just about numbers; it’s about driving collaborative progress to reduce our carbon footprint across a national portfolio. In this permanent part-time opportunity (4 days per week – flexible for the right person), you will lead the charge in analysing environmental data and ensuring St Vincent’s meets its commitment to a sustainable future.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Maintain the environmental sustainability database, including data collection and consolidation
  • Coordinate reporting for NGERS, Financial Reporting Directive (FRD) 24, and future ASRS requirements (AASB-S1 and AASB-S2)
  • Manage environmental data for the Annual Report and use data-driven analysis to inform climate-related strategy
  • Work with procurement, accounts payable, and business transformation teams to integrate sustainability into daily operations
  • Provide administrative support for environmental sustainability working groups and communities of practice

Things that work for us:

  • At least 5 years in a similar role with strong experience in data measurement, analytics, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of National Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3)
  • A qualified professional with a relevant degree desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in measuring and managing data, analytics, benchmarking, and reporting using platforms like MS Excel, Power BI, and DX365.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to work effectively in a team or autonomously
  • A positive "can-do" attitude with the ability to think strategically and take initiative

Things that work for you:

  • Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service
  • Competitive salary packaging options
  • Discounted private health insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
  • Access to the Fitness Passport (FP)

At St Vincent’s we value inclusivity and diversity and acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe, fair and impartial and invites people from all backgrounds to join us.
