Better and fairer care. Always.
St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and nearly 30,000 people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. We are a microcosm of Australia’s health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.
We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.
Reporting to the National Director of Formation & Purpose, the Formation & Purpose Lead NSW will be the driver of cultural connection for St Vincent's in New South Wales. This role puts you at the heart of our organisation, tasked with implementing the powerful national formation strategy across our entire New South Wales ecosystem - from corporate teams to hospital, aged care, and home care staff.
Leveraging your expertise in formation and preferably clinical settings, you will partner with diverse leaders and teams to proactively identify their deepest needs and co-design high-impact interventions. You will then bring these programs to life, overseeing their delivery and rigorous evaluation. Crucially, you will also steward the spirit of St Vincent's by taking ownership of the events, programs, and rituals that express our Catholic identity. This is your chance to ensure our founding values resonate authentically with every staff member, connecting all that we do back to our core purpose.
This is a permanent full time opportunity on a hybrid working arrangement with an onsite presence needed at our New South Wales hospitals and aged care homes.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Be the Architect of Mission Impact: Strategically implement the national formation strategy, transforming organisational goals into tangible, impactful experiences for all staff in New South Wales.
Forge Meaningful Relationships: Act as a dynamic consultant, actively collaborating with diverse local facility executives, clinical teams, and leadership to uncover critical formation needs and co-design bespoke initiatives.
Drive Learning Innovation: Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact formation programs, moving beyond simple training to create profound and engaging learning experiences that connect a diverse workforce directly to St Vincent's core mission and purpose.
Measure and Elevate Success: Design and execute robust evaluation strategies for all formation initiatives, utilising a national reporting structure to demonstrate tangible outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Shape our National Story: Contribute expertise to key national formation projects, such as the organisation-wide orientation program, ensuring a cohesive and inspiring narrative of purpose for every new and existing staff member.
