  • Salary: 57.35 AUD base per hour.

About The Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator or a senior Oncology Registered Nurse, to join the cancer care team within the Patricia Ritchie Centre.
  • This Permanent Part-Time position will allow you to be a leader in safe and quality nursing care through the advancement of evidence-based nursing practice, focusing on person centred care within the philosophy, mission and values of St Vincents Health Australia.
  • Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role involves assessing, planning and implementing the educational needs of our small and dynamic team.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring all learning and development activities are met and adhere to the policies and procedures of the Mater Hospital and St Vincents Health Australia (SVHA).
  • The Clinical Nurse Educator will work with the team to ensure all patient care delivered is done so within the relevant staff scope of practice.

About You:

  • AHPRA registered.
  • At least 5 years post registration experience in Oncology/Haematology.
  • Post graduate qualifications in a relevant specialty area or working towards.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian National Standards, relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Previous educator experience desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.
