JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Work Shift: Mon -Fri 8:30am -5pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Delivery of comprehensive nutritional services to St. Tammany Cancer Center medical oncology and radiation oncology patients and their significant others. Participates in patient centered and community programs and Health Fairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, or Food and Nutrition. Registered Dietitian {RD} credentialed by Commission on Dietetic Registration, or Registration eligible within 6 months of hire. State License {LDN} by Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition, or provisional LDN.  One year experience preferred. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.  The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.

Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills; computer technology skills; excellent interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 10 pounds is required.  Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort required:        

Constant (67%-100%) – talking, hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) - carrying, handling/feeling
Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, poles, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching
