Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): To provide back up for administrative and events logistics activities for the Taylor Center for Equity and Inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Services in the Taylor Center Lounge:
    • Update bulletin boards and decorations
    • Provide light maintenance 
    • Answer and manage phone calls and messages
    • Update library and magazine inventory
    • Other general reception and administrative duties
  • Provide support for events: 
    • Create flyers, posters and materials for events
    • Distribute publicity on campus and online
    • Reserve rooms on campus, meeting room and lounge
    • Update google calendar(s)
    • Drive college vehicles (if authorized as certified driver) 
    • Take photographs on events 
  • Provide office support: 
    • Monitor office mail and print orders 
    • Organize photo archives online and in drive(s)
    • Scan, photocopy, print and file office materials
    • Create forms and update lists
    • Deliver intercampus communications
    • Update google groups, calendars and office documents
    • Draft and distribute communications on behalf of staff
    • Collaborate on Newsletter’s publication
    • Do inventory of Storage Room(s)
  • Attend meetings and training sessions 
  • Collaborate on special projects 
  • Other administrative activities as assigned

 

 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

Required:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and MS Publisher
  • College Certified Driver
  • Experience with Office’s activities and programs
