The Weber Road Branch is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform a broad range of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and attractive appearance of the Library building, both interior and exterior.

We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.
Salary: $34,708.00
Hours:
Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
One Sunday per month
Essential Responsibilities:
- Cleans and dusts tables, counters, other furniture, and shelving units of all types, and removes trash from containers in the public service areas using appropriate cleaning products to provide a clean and sanitary environment.
- Maintains floors to provide a clean and safe environment with a neat appearance.
- Cleans restrooms to provide a neat and clean appearance and a sanitary environment for customers and staff.
- Cleans staff work area and staff break room to provide a clean and neat work environment.
- Maintains grounds to provide safe, neat, and tidy outdoor environment.
- Performs periodic cleaning projects, including heavy cleaning, and other duties as assigned to make the library an attractive, clean, and safe environment for staff and customers.
- Assists in setting up meeting rooms for Library programs and outside meetings.
Job Qualifications:
- One year of previous custodial experience
- Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers and other staff

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and reach on an 8 ft. ladder
- Ability to work with little or no supervision at times
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours per shift
- Ability to bend to very low shelves or area of the Library building or reach up to very high shelves or areas of the Library building
- Ability to use a pc, word processing, and e-mail
