The Clinical Educator are responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating education programs that support clinical competence, evidence-based practice, and professional development across critical care and acute care settings.
This role provides bedside coaching, supports orientation and ongoing training, leads quality and safety initiatives, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and staff readiness in fast-paced, complex clinical environments.

Clinical Educator Stroke/Acute Geriatrics/Medical - Permanent part-time opportunity
The Position
Support and provide guidance to caregivers (including graduates) to meet individual learning and development goals and achieve departmental objectives
Collaborates with Department Managers, other learning and development caregivers and relevant key stakeholders to support learning and development activities locally.
Supports an interprofessional approach to the delivery, assessment and evaluation of learning for all caregivers, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment.
Supports the use of standardised, best practice tools, frameworks and guidelines to deliver, assess and evaluate learning activities.
Provides mentoring, coaching and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assists other members of the team to undertake the same.
In collaboration with the Learning and Development Coordinator, and other key stakeholders, support the planning, onboarding, delivery and evaluation of the Pathways to Practice Graduate Programs and Pathway to Speciality Programs.
In collaboration with the Learning and Development Coordinator, support the planning and supervision of student placements and support evaluation activities (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed
Assists with orientation/induction as required.
Supports a life-long learning approach to support caregivers to be self-directed and use reflective practice
Participate as an active member of relevant networking groups, communities of practice and committees as directed by the L&D Coordinator or line manager.
Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
Awareness of accreditation, industry standards/licensing requirements and actively participates in the accreditation and licensing processes promoting quality patient/client care and safety.
Position Requirements
To succeed you will be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and hold a qualification in, or progression towards achieving, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or other formal professional development relating to education and training. You will have proven clinical experience relevant to the speciality area you would like to apply to, with the ability to lead education initiatives and enhance clinical capability.
You will demonstrate experience in needs assessment, delivery and evaluation of education programs and initiatives using a range of educational approaches. You will have a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio.
A proven experience in small group teaching and group presentations especially in a healthcare environment will be appreciated and experience working with Learning Management Systems, and the range of MS Office packages is essential.

Salary: $109,599 to $115, 681 per annum (pro for part time), plus 12% superannuation on pro-rate basis
