JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Psychologist is a health professional who oversees the provision of clinical psychological, rehabilitation psychological, and behavioral medicine services at the Medical Center under the general supervision of the Director and in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of Saint Francis Medical Center.

Job Summary

Duties: Performs inpatient and outpatient diagnostic psychological evaluations using age specific factors as ordered by physician. Performs psychological evaluations to assist in the development of rehabilitation plans for outpatients and inpatients. Documents results of treatment and patient’s progress. Actively participates in rehabilitation team clinical meetings, as needed. Actively participates in program development services. Provides education to patients and families related to psychological manifestations of their medical conditions. Acknowledges the physicians’ plan of care and practices in a collaborative relationship with the physician and other connected disciplines.

Education: Doctor of psychology, clinical neuropsychology, clinical psychology, or child psychology, or doctorate degree in clinical psychology

Experience Required: 12 months as a psychologist

Other Requirements:

· Licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Missouri

· The 12 months of experience must be supervised professional experience in the provision of neuropsychological services in a medical or rehabilitation setting
