Job Summary:

The Registration Manager reports to the Director Patient Registration and is responsible for all aspects of registration functions at all hospital locations. The Manager leads the staff and partners with the clinical, administrative, and financial leaders to effectively deliver quality care and positive Revenue Cycle outcomes.

Job Description:

  • Manages patient access activities to meet the goals of the department which include patient experience, accurate information, and point of service collections.  Meets the needs of departments, visitors, physicians, and office staff. Responsible for training and updating the Code Yellow plans to prepare employees for Disaster procedures. Maintains collaborative working relationships with other hospital departments.  Oversees scheduling of staff to ensure patient needs are met.
  •  Train, develop and coach staff.  Evaluate and review performance with personnel.  Initiate or recommend necessary counseling, disciplinary actions, and termination actions.
  • Maintains department expenses to ensure both FTE and operating expenses are within the established department budget.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with managed care controls and overseeing special handling of accounts.
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order for efficient operation in the Registration department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Bachelor’s Degree or HS diploma with equivalent experience.
