About this role

Pacific Northwest Transportation Services (PNWTS) is the proud supplier of carbon-neutral transportation services for the cruise industry in Victoria, British Columbia. As the exclusive supplier of buses on behalf of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), PNWTS provides motor coaches and double-decker buses for shore excursion tours and shuttle connections for cruise lines and is the sole provider of dispatch services on the Terminal. 

We are looking for a positive and energetic individual to join our driving team during the cruise season (April – October). 

Wages: Training wage at $26.76/hr then full wage at $38.72/hr plus gratuities

Positions Available: Part-Time and Casual (Seasonal)

Job Description:

  • Driving safely and efficiently while showcasing the city of Victoria and surrounding areas
  • Providing driver commentary to cruise ship guests
  • Providing exceptional service to our guests
  • Performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Promoting partner attractions
  • Demonstrating the ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing traffic patterns, street closures or detours
  • Participating in any drivers’ trainings or meetings as required by the company 
  • Learning new practices and operational procedures
  • Adapting to changing company policies and safety practices

 

Qualifications:

Knowledge

  • Valid Class 1 or 2 driver’s license with air endorsement is required
  • Clean drivers abstract is required
  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
  • Company policies and processes
  • Local visitor and tourism knowledge

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
