We’re just getting started—join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.</p></div><p>Reporting to the Associate Director of Engineering, Complex Care, you will lead a team responsible in building the tools and workflows that power Spring Health’s workplace mental health services, ranging from employee support and manager consultations to crisis response and return-to-work guidance. You’ll partner with product, design, clinical leaders, data science, and AI/ML platform teams to create safe, measurable, and delightful end-to-end care experiences for members, providers and employer partners.</p> <p>Please note that this is a <strong>hybrid role</strong> <strong>based in New York City</strong>, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Madison Avenue.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Owning development and delivery of Workplace Care improvements</li> <li>Managing a thriving team of engineers; foster a mission-driven culture centered on velocity, ownership, and execution</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure operational excellence: SLOs/SLIs, on-call and incident management, observability, tech debt management, and developer experience.</li> <li>Drive execution across teams and organizations, aligning initiatives with broader clinical and strategic priorities.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What success looks like in this role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A highly capable and thriving engineering team</li> <li>On time planned deliveries and high velocity incremental deliveries</li> <li>High quality engineering output, in terms of both product and codebase</li> <li>Trend of reducing technical debt reduction and improving engineering excellence&nbsp;</li> <li>Great partner relationships in engineering and across functions like PM and Design</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years experience as an engineering manager (manager of individual engineers)</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience with Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript and/or Flutter</li> <li>Track record of data fluency and objective measures of impact</li> <li>Track record of proactive and collaborative leadership style</li> <li>Track record of strong talent management and team health success</li> </ul> <p>The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - 179,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equitystock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience,&nbsp;<em>location</em>, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
