We’re just getting started—join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.</p></div><p>Reporting to the Manager, Billing, the Billing Systems Specialist will serve as the technical and operational owner of our practice management system (Apero). They will also serve as the primary liaison between HOPS and BI and HOPS and Product, ensuring optimal performance to support patient billing and revenue cycle management.&nbsp; This remote role is part of the Health Plan Operations team and plays a critical role in enhancing billing workflows, data quality, and cross-functional collaboration. <em>At Spring Health we value internal mobility. <strong>We have identified a strong internal candidate for this position. We still encourage candidates to apply.</strong></em></p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary liaison with Apero, our practice management system vendor, to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and track system requests</li> <li>Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and the Product Team to define and validate reporting and data needs related to billing and revenue operations</li> <li>Optimize system workflows, configurations, and integrations to improve efficiency and reduce billing errors</li> <li>Troubleshoot system issues, partnering with internal IT/Product, external vendors, and BI teams to coordinate resolution</li> <li>Document processes, system updates, and best practices to support team training and knowledge sharing</li> <li>Provide strategic input on new system solutions and upgrades to enhance revenue cycle performance</li> </ul> <p><strong>What success looks like in this role:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Apero system uptime and issue resolution SLAs consistently met or exceeded</li> <li>Process Automation Impact: One to two manual workflows automated or optimized per quarter with time savings quantified.</li> <li>At Least 2 System Improvements per quarter</li> <li>Streamlined billing workflows with measurable reductions in manual tasks and errors</li> <li>Reporting dashboards for billing metrics launched in partnership with BI within 90 days</li> <li>Clear and current documentation repository for key system processes and updates</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, especially in billing systems or practice management tools</li> <li>Hands-on experience with practice management systems; Apero experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams</li> <li>Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization</li> <li>Familiarity with healthcare compliance and data reporting requirements</li> </ul> <p>The target base salary range for this position is<strong><em> $41.03 - $47.18 </em></strong>and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
