About this role

We’re part of Spotify’s Podcast Mission, focused on giving podcast creators tools to grow their audiences and connect more deeply with listeners. This role sits on a cross-functional team building the systems that power interactive podcast experiences, enabling everything from polls, comments, and Q&A to emerging agent-driven features. As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll shape how creators manage, monetize, and grow their podcasts through a more unified and powerful interface. From developing scalable design systems to crafting seamless user journeys that bridge Spotify for Creators and Megaphone, you’ll work at the heart of the Creator experience at Spotify.


This is a product-oriented role where you’ll partner with product and design to understand roadmaps and weigh the technical trade-offs of implementation strategies. You’ll play a key role in the architectural convergence of our platforms, assessing the engineering effort required to unify distinct codebases, and connecting with web teams across Spotify to ensure a consistent, best-in-class experience for the Podcast mission.

What You'll Do
  • Be a strong contributor and leader to the team to plan, design, and execute technical solutions
  • Lead frontend initiatives and set the groundwork for
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers and analysts across the Podcast Mission
  • Build and maintain scalable applications for both internal and external users
  • Share knowledge, document processes, and evangelize best practices
  • Ensure that our user experience is the very best it can be


Who You Are
  • You’re an experienced developer with 3+ years of experience in Javascript and React. Typescript is a plus.
  • You have strong communications skills and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are able to take initiative and work independently
  • You’re have an understanding of Javascript design patterns, data structures, and web architecture
  • You’re passionate about the user experience and design best practices
  • You’re inquisitive about the latest technologies and are always looking for ways to improve our existing products
  • Bonus: you have some experience with backend technologies and can debug issues on your own (we use Golang, Kafka, and GraphQL). 


Where You'll Be
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the North Americas region as long as we have a work location.
  • This team operates within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration.

The United States base range for this position is $ 125, 561 - $ 179, 374, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
