About this role
Sportsman Boats Mfg. is looking for Assembly Associates to work in the finished assembly department to wire, install, motors and cushions, cap, rig, and finish our 20-35 ft center console boats.
What you will do:
- Pull wires, install equipment like Yamaha outboards, Garmin systems, stereo components, navigation systems, other hardware to specification, meeting high quality standards
- Use basic hand tools and power equipment (miter saw, reciprocating saw, drill, driver, etc.)
- Build T-tops and consoles
- Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety procedures
- Maintain area tools and equipment
- Able to read and interpret manufacturing schedules
- Able to read and understand units of measure
- Physically able to climb in and out of boats
- Work as a part of a team in a fast paced production environment
- Be challenged and have fun along the way
To be considered you must have:
- Experience with air, hand, and power tools
- Experience in boating, automotive, electrical, carpentry, or other related field
- Ability to climb in and out of boats, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
