The Park Appearance Manager will provide critical support to the Splashdown Beach Grounds and Janitorial departments. This position will be responsible for overseeing the landscaping and park cleanliness prior, during, and after park hours throughout the year. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing a staff of approximately 10 groundskeepers and approximately 45 janitorial team members during park operations.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, hiring, department inventory and staff training as needed for both grounds and janitorial.
• Organization of Janitorial paperwork including daily position sheets, inventory check-lists, schedules, product information manuals, and cleaning inspection sheets.
• Oversees the daily watering, and deadheading of all plant material on property along with weeding and cleaning of all landscape beds. 
• Oversee janitorial team members and ensure grounds and facilities are kept to the highest cleanliness standard
• Daily tasks may include the use of heavy equipment and machinery such as backhoe, extendable forklift, boom lift, backpack blowers, pressure washers, weed eaters and lawn mower, and conducting routine park inspections. 
• Responds to all guests’ needs and complaints in a kind professional manner while providing outstanding customer service.
• Ensures all landscaping equipment and power tools are functioning at all times and repair if possible.
• Works closely with the Director of Operations and the General Manager to maintain a clean, safe friendly environment for all staff and guests.
• Any additional tasks as assigned by management. 

Qualifications

• Leadership experience is required
• Landscaping experience and horticulture knowledge is required
• Custodial experience preferred
• Must have experience operating heavy equipment and machinery
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail and strong ability to follow-up
• Must possess excellent communication skills, multi-tasking, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, walk/stand for extended periods, and lift 50 lbs.
• Must have a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
