Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Support Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Support Specialist. With a strong bias to lead generation and pipeline management. This hybrid role blends traditional business development support responsibilities with a proactive approach to market engagement and lead generation. The ideal candidate will be as comfortable interacting in a sales function with customers and key commercial stakeholders.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets and sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Working with central and regional marketing teams to gain deeper insight to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.

Market awareness led growth

  • Work closely with the sales & marketing teams to ensure lead generation activity aligns with brand positioning and messaging.
  • Leverage campaigns through support and collaboration with channel partners.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through CRM, Protel market insight and sales navigator.
  • Has oversight of all Aflex leads through CRM to advise sales Director and focus Aflex SME activity.
  • Report on KPIs, campaign performance, and ROI of group, direct and distributor led sales initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to refine offerings and messaging.
  • Support CPD training development.

Skills/Experience:
  • Proven experience in business development and/or sales (B2B preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the fluid transfer/flexible hose market and customer base across Life Science, Process Industries and Automotive sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in campaign management considered advantageous.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Experience with CRM systems and campaign management tools considered advantageous
  • Degree in Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role
