We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer – IT/OT Systems for one of our client in Ludvika to support R&D and testing activities. In this role, you will design and develop HMI solutions on the AVEVA OrchestrA platform, create secure SCADA network architectures with advanced cyber security features, maintain test environments (software/hardware updates), and contribute to software engineering tasks under guidance. The position involves working on industrial control systems in a structured environment with limited remote flexibility due to hands-on testing. This role suits you if you have basic-to-moderate software engineering experience, strong interest in HMI/SCADA systems, and are comfortable working mostly on-site.
Design and develop HMI solutions using AVEVA OrchestrA platform
Create and implement secure network architecture for SCADA systems with cyber security features
Maintain and update test environments (software and hardware)
Perform software engineering tasks in IT/OT systems under supervision
Support verification, testing, and documentation of industrial control solutions
Collaborate with senior engineers to improve processes and meet requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a closely related field (or equivalent), OR another technical degree with 10–15 years of relevant professional experience.
2–6 years relevant work experience in software engineering or IT/OT systems
Proven skills and experience in designing and developing HMI on AVEVA OrchestrA platform
Working knowledge of secure SCADA network design and cyber security principles
Basic knowledge of C/C++ is a Plus
English (Fluent speaking/writing – mandatory); Swedish is advantageous.
