We are hiring a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for one of our client in Västerås. In this senior role, you will lead electrical/electronic engineering activities, including planning, design, development, testing, installation, and coordination of electrical systems and automation. You will prepare designs, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and oversee project execution, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. The position involves managing complex engineering projects, working independently with limited supervision, coaching junior engineers, and ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. This role requires nationally unique competence in electrical engineering, 10+ years of well-documented experience, and advanced knowledge typically gained through extensive work and education.
Plan, design, develop, test, install, and coordinate electrical/electronic systems and automation
Prepare engineering designs, specifications, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve operational issues to minimize delays
Manage resources, contractors, and stakeholders for successful project execution
Apply advanced engineering principles and tools for reports, analyses, and solutions
Coach and review work of junior engineers
Ensure compliance with standards and project objectives
10+ years of well-documented experience in relevant electrical engineering field
Nationally unique competence or documented credentials in specialized area
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), or a post-graduate degree (e.g., Doctorate) or equivalent credentials.
Fluent in English and Swedish (both spoken and written – mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
