Job Title: EHS Supervisor / Laboratory Safety

Role Overview
Oversee and manage the organization’s Laboratory Safety Program, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and institutional EHS regulations.
Provide leadership through problem-solving, risk analysis, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives related to Environmental Health & Safety.
Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and enhance overall EHS performance.
Lead the design, execution, and achievement of annual safety and environmental objectives, targets, and performance metrics.
Promote a strong EHS culture focused on compliance, accountability, and proactive risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and continuously improve laboratory safety programs and EHS systems.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop, track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and performance indicators.
Lead safety training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.
Champion a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and leadership.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA).
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience in a laboratory environment and managing chemical inventories preferred.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification required.
