Enterprise Sales Representative / Enterprise Account Executive – Storage Solutions 

Role Overview 

Spectra Logic is seeking a high-performing Enterprise Sales Representative with a proven track record of selling enterprise storage infrastructure and software solutions into complex, partner-driven environments. This is a true hunter role—focused on opening new accounts, building pipeline from scratch, and expanding territories beyond historical performance.

Success requires urgency, personal accountability, and a strong field presence. The ideal candidate is energized by competition, motivated by meaningful financial goals, and committed to winning through face-to-face customer and partner engagement.

Top performers in this role are personally invested in winning. They take ownership of their income, their territory, and their results—and consistently outperform peers through discipline, preparation, and execution.

2. 100% Hunter Mentality (No Farmers) 

  • Proven ability to prospect, cold-start, and open net-new enterprise accounts 
  • Demonstrated success creating opportunities where none previously existed
  • Comfortable operating in competitive, quota-driven environments
  • Must present a 30 / 60 / 90-day territory plan outlining pipeline creation strategy

3. Road Warrior Mindset 

  • This is a territorial, field-based role. 60% travel, must live within 1 hour of major airport.
  • Willing and eager to travel regularly for in-person customer meetings, partner engagements, dinners, and industry events
  • Believes face-to-face interaction is critical to trust, credibility, and closing business 

4. Ecosystem Credibility & Trust 

  • Strong references from within the enterprise storage ecosystem (customers, VARs, OEMs, alliance partners, SIs)
  • Proven ability to operate within complex partner- and alliance-led sales motions 
  • Viewed as likable, credible, and trustworthy by customers and partners
  • Understands IT market trends, data management architectures, and competitive dynamics

5. Relevant Enterprise Sales Experience 

  • 5 –10+ years of success in quota-carrying enterprise sales experience
  • Direct experience selling enterprise storage systems, backup, archive, or data infrastructure solutions
  • Demonstrated success selling both software and infrastructure into Fortune 2000 environments
  • Experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder procurement and buying cycles
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level decision makers

Core Responsibilities 

New Business & Territory Growth 

  • Prospect, qualify, and close net-new enterprise accounts 
  • Grow assigned territory beyond historical performance
  • Identify and accelerate high-value opportunities aligned to Spectra Logic’s global sales strategy

Pipeline & Forecast Management 

  • Build and maintain a healthy, sustainable pipeline aligned to quarterly and annual targets
  • Maintain strong forecasting discipline and CRM hygiene
  • Consistently deliver against revenue, pipeline, and growth objectives

Partner & Alliance Execution 

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with VARs, SIs, OEMs, and technology partners
  • Co-develop joint go-to-market initiatives to expand enterprise market footprint
  • Enable partners through training, collateral, and joint-selling motions
  • Leverage internal resources, including solution architects, to deliver solution-based sales

Solution & Domain Leadership 

  • Provide domain expertise to position Spectra Logic solutions in complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Develop and utilize playbooks, use cases, and reference architectures to articulate value
  • Help customers navigate evolving data architectures, hybrid-cloud strategies, and market volatility

Evangelism & Voice of the Field 

  • Represent Spectra Logic’s strategy with customers, partners, and at industry events
  • Evangelize Spectra Logic’s differentiated approach to storage and data management
  • Act as a voice-of-field, providing feedback to product and marketing teams based on real-world customer insights

What Success Looks Like 

  • Consistent creation of pipeline from new enterprise accounts 
  • Reliable execution against quota with a track record of overachievement
  • Strong field presence with trusted customer and partner relationships
  • Predictable forecasting and disciplined CRM management
  • High accountability and ownership of results
  • Recognition through performance awards, sales clubs, and peer acknowledgment

Compensation: OTE of $150-200K including base + commissions

Travel: 60%, must reside in Georgia or Florida, within 1 hour of major airport.
