Tenterden
full-time
Are you a caring individual looking to start your career in an Optics environment? You’ve come to the right place.
As well as being passionate and motivated in everything you do, it’s important that you’re also a great listener and communicator – as that’s what excellent service is all about. In addition to having great communication skills, you’ll also be a team player and have a real passion for making a difference, both in your development and within the business.
Our Apprenticeship scheme gives people of all ages the chance to boost their existing skillset and kickstart an exciting new career as part of a forward-thinking business, all whilst earning a full-time wage.
Our store
Located in the heart of Tenterden High Street, Specsavers Tenterden benefits from a welcoming, community‑focused environment set within one of Kent’s most attractive market towns. The High Street itself is known for its tree‑lined avenues, historic architecture, and a vibrant mix of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, all of which contribute to Tenterden’s reputation as the “Jewel of the Weald.”
Transport access is straightforward and practical. The High Street is well‑served by local bus routes connecting Tenterden to surrounding villages and nearby towns. For those travelling by car, several public car parks are all within short walking distance and offer a range of parking options throughout the day.
Tenterden’s surrounding area adds to its appeal: positioned on the edge of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town is surrounded by rolling countryside, historic buildings, and cultural attractions, including the famous Kent & East Sussex Railway. With its blend of heritage, community warmth, and modern convenience, the location offers an attractive and accessible setting for both customers and colleagues.
Our team
The Specsavers Tenterden team is a small, close‑knit group who pride themselves on creating a genuinely family‑orientated working environment. Colleagues support one another across all areas of the store, fostering a warm, collaborative atmosphere where everyone feels valued. This culture is deeply rooted in their commitment to patient care and professional development, with the team working together to deliver the highest standards of service while maintaining a friendly, approachable vibe every day.
