SPATCO Energy Solutions is looking for an Arkansas-registered Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Environmental Division in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The applicants should have experience (4 to 5 years’ experience) working in the environmental, mechanical, or civil engineering fields. Senior-level duties will include: management of existing environmental assessment and remediation projects; field investigation support and project oversight; preparation and review of technical documents; cost estimating; in-house assistance to other environmental division professionals; and liaison activities with regulatory agencies.

 

Essential Functions

 

 

  • Develop, write, and implement environmental projects from the conceptual phase through completion.
  • Assess customer needs and present alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Act as liaison between clients and regulatory agencies
  • Work with multi-disciplinary project teams of scientists, engineers, geologists, and field personnel
  • Project cost estimating
  • Develop detailed design drawings
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors to verify conformance with scopes of work

 

 

Experience, Competencies, and Education

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Some overnight travel is required
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check for this position
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Work outside during all types of weather.
  • Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others.
  • Follow all company procedures. If you need a copy of procedures, please see your Branch manager.
  • Keep company vehicle clean, maintenance done regular, and only use for company business.
