Position: Janitor

Location: Watertown, SD (on-site position)

About the Role:

As a Janitor at Spartronics, you'll play a pivotal role performing custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors.

What a typical day looks like:

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Empties trash.
• Maintain outside walk areas including sweeping debris and washing walkways, washing windows, empty ash trays.
• Clean tables, sinks, water fountains, microwaves and fridges.
• Remove recycling materials.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• May track, order and organize maintenance supplies.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May perform light maintenance work on items that can be fixed, replaced and maintained by a screwdriver, hammer, pliers, etc.
• May assemble, replace, repair, or paint furniture, equipment, dispensers etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The experience we’re looking for to add to the team:

• Education- Must have a HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Experience in custodial duties preferred.
• Ability to (up to 100% of the time) stand, walk, push, kneel, twist and reach.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer navigation skills required.
