Clinical Neonatologist


University of Michigan Health – Sparrow


 


Who We Are


University of Michigan Health -Sparrow is recruiting a faculty neonatologist to join our team at in Lansing, Michigan. This is a full-time, part-time, or per diem clinical position that combines high-acuity community neonatology with the benefits of University of Michigan access to academic resources, teaching, and statewide collaboration.

About the Role



  • Provide clinical care in a 35-bed Level III NICU and a 12-bed Special Care Nursery

  • NICU manages 700-800 admissions annually, with high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia

  • Team includes neonatologists, APPs and residents

  • Participate in academic case conferences and QI initiatives with Michigan Medicine

  • Contribute to trainee education


Ideal Candidates



  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

  • Committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and education

  • Comfortable in a high-acuity, community-based NICU with academic affiliation


Modes of Work


Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.


Background Screening


University of Michigan Health - Sparrow conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party dministrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
