About this role
A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Cape Coral, FL.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.
- Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity
- Oversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.
- Perform any required testing for installed systems
- Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards
- Fill out daily reports including crew member’s hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities
- Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers
- Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
- Perform jobsite quality control checks.
- At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience
- At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience
- Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.
- FDOT experience preferred but not required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work
- OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)
- CPR Certification
