Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors INC. is seeking a Tool & Equipment Coordinator to work out of our Hoschton, GA Office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or jobsites, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • When not making deliveries, this person will be working within the warehouse and assisting Pre-Fabrication department.
  • Collaborates with project managers and project teams on necessary material for projects and makes prompt deliveries.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
  • Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.
  • Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them, as necessary.
  • Advise retail customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients, vendors and partners.
  • Drives Company equipment in a professional and safe manner at all times.
  • Delivers products to specified locations in a timely manner.
  • Unloads and stacks products with customers in a friendly courteous manner.
  • Ensures that delivery paperwork is completed as required.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Work Environment

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.  Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.  Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, and working in awkward body positions.
