Position Summary

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating providers, patient care staff and support staff at Urgent Care and Work Care at Marion and Harrisburg locations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Master’s degree in Nursing preferred

Licenses and Certification

  • Illinois Registered Nurse Professional License
  • BLS
  • ACLS, NRP,PALS,ENPC,TNCC,TNS if applicable

Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience – 4 years clinical in related field
  • Supervisory Experience – 2 years

Physical Activities

  • Intermittent hand manipulation required
  • Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pound

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements programs to support positive patient and local employer outcomes.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Medical Staff.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of unit based clinical programs related to delivery of care and clinical practice.
  • Assist in preparation for regulatory surveys including UCA (Urgent Care Association), IDPH and other regulatory agency surveys.
  • Monitors and responds to patient/family/physician and local employer expectations.
  • Oversee development of programs, policies and protocols that are integrated across the system to enhance operational efficiency, quality, patient safety, and patient experience.
  • Collaborate with facility administrators and system director to ensure urgent care and occupational medicine services are smoothly and seamlessly integrated.
  • Responsible for financial performance of urgent care and occupational medicine services to include preparation of annual budgets, capital needs requirements, and contractual management.
  • Develops data based performance and outcome metrics, tracks and trends data and leads change initiatives to move the metrics toward established goals.
  • Optimized utilization of both human and material resources, effectively allocating resources across the system.
  • Working with system leadership, assures the care provided at all sites is appropriate and matched with the site resources and capabilities. Advises system leadership of the resources and support required for service line expansion.
  • Supports and contributes to the annual workers’ compensation symposium.
  • Lead efforts to improve patient, physician, and staff engagement.
  • Works with system director and leadership to market the urgent care and occupational medicine service line.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and national licensing, governing body, and regulatory agency recommendations and standards.
  • Develop providers, including medical staff and support staff to ensure facility relationships to allow open communication, problem-solving, development of new services, and identification of patient and local employer needs with physicians and director.
  • With active clinical participation, develop and update Transfer Center marketing plan as it relates to differences in admission protocols according to specialty ensuring that all available network resources are used to their maximum potential.
  • Maintain open communication with medical staff, both internal and external, to identify, monitor, and solve issues and problems.
  • Communicates regularly with service line director and medical director to ensure compliance with urgent care and occupational medicine standards and goals.  

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$92,955.20 - $148,720.00
