GRADE LEVEL: Exempt 4-5 JOB SUMMARY

This position will work under the direction of the Team Lead. This position is responsible for developing and managing the approach for inventory management, warehousing, logistics and asset disposition associated with SCM operations. This position will partner with the 3PL Contractor to develop and maintain a strategy that supports GPC Transmission Capital Projects and Goals associated with inventory management. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes– Oxley legislation, Safety, OSHA Laws, FERC, DOT, EPA, and company policies and procedures in SCM operations.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree a plus
  • General knowledge of inventory management principles
  • General knowledge of warehouse operations, practices, and Logistics
  • General knowledge of SCM policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Transmission line and sub material
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and obtain results by established deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Computer skills including the use of MAXIMO, TEAMS, Foundry and Microsoft Office
  • Responsible for performing analyst function for all material at specified locations
  • Must be available to report to work in emergencies and storm restoration efforts

Job Duties

  • Review of Transmission Bill of Materials. Ensure the accuracy between TEAMS and MAXIMO for both stock and non-stock material. Make necessary changes and/or recommendations to the Line and Sub Design Group based on the scope of the project.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors to create and execute Purchase Requisitions
  • Create and execute Repair Shop Job Request in support of Transmission projects.
  • Provide research and technical information for materials when requested by Transmission Construction.
  • Provide support to Supply Chain Procurement Group. This includes technical support, creating Purchase Requisitions, material order requirements, feedback on issues with material.
  • Provide support to GPC-SCS Engineering and Contract Engineering. 
  • Invoice Reconciler for Transmission Purchase Orders, Freight Bills and Concrete Poles.
  • Responsible for Transmission inventory’s locations, both spot checks and annual corporate audits.
  • Responsible for the coordination of transmission jobsites deliveries and pickups.
  • Provide research information for materials upon request of Transmission Construction to include ETA, stock availability, provide alternatives for late material or back-ordered materials
  • Provide support for Equipment Installers Group
  • Process internal PO 
  • Coordinate job-site deliveries with GPC Traffic Department and vendors
  • Complete adjustments for all three warehouse locations (storeroom 68294, 68295 & 68314)
  • Provide 3PL contractor with various reports
  • Provide assistance to 3PL contractor with issues, receipts of material
  • Resolve vendor shipping errors
  • Maintain DRAFT DTRs
