We are searching for an Experienced CNA or Med Asst for Wound Care

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs  

Shift: Day shift, 7:45am - 4:30pm    

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

• Current certification in one of the following: Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred.
• National third- party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Position repots to Manager, Wound Care Center or designee. Perform a variety of clinic duties related to providing assistance to nursing staff in carrying out wound care treatments and medical office tasks related to ongoing department functions.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent is required.
• Must have successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant/Aide program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Prior experience with an electronic medical record and/or health related computer software is preferred.
• Customer service experience or training preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.
• National third- party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire.
• Current certification in one of the following: Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
