Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager, Public Communications & Media Relations or designee. Responsible for promoting the reputation and visibility of Southcoast Health, service lines and providers and building public trust through storytelling on social media and strategic media outlets. Supports Manager and acts as liaison with external media. Leads the development and execution of an effective social media strategy to support public communications and brand reputation efforts using a wide array of social media platforms. Develops and/or manages production of content including written, video, photography and graphics. Identifies newsworthy opportunities and assists with story pitches, interviews and press coverage as needed. Gather and analyze platform metrics while also monitoring community sentiment and brand reputation. Collaborates with Marketing & Communications teams, within the larger division and throughout the organization, including administrative leadership and clinical professionals. The role ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy standards and communication protocols while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered brand voice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English or related field required.
  • 3+ years experience in a relevant role in Marketing, Communications and/or Social Media.
  • A creative, strategic, innovative and forward-thinking tactician possessing the knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, utilizing data to effectively demonstrate why their work is analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be deployed strategically.
  • Displays the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, photo and video format in a timely manner.
  • Exercises sound judgment at all times.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

 

 

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $61,006.40 - USD $104,499.20 /Yr.
