We’re seeking an Applied Data Scientist with a strong product and ownership mindset to help establish and grow SoSafe’s data science capabilities. As the first role of this kind in the organization, you will have the freedom to explore and prototype, supported by the direct mentorship of our Head of Product Analytics & Data Science and a collaborative Data & Insights team.
You’ll play a central role in defining how we measure human cyber risk, leveraging the activity of over 5 million users to turn behavioral patterns into actionable product decisions. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and real-world impact, helping us prove exactly what triggers positive cyber security behavior change.

Here's how you'll make a difference:

• Make analytics decision-grade, not just visible, by strengthening and standardizing core security and awareness metrics

• Build trust in data by defining validation rules and ensuring metrics are consistent, interpretable, and comparable over time

• Own and evolve our human cyber security risk model into a stable, explainable, and defensible scoring system

• Turn insights into action by defining and measuring targeted interventions that reduce risk

• Ship production ready models in close collaboration with Engineering and MLOps

• Communicate complex insights clearly to Product, Customer Success, and leadership

• Take ownership and help shape direction in a fast-moving, growing product environment

What makes you a great fit:

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied ML, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment

• Strong experience working in finding patterns in user behavioral or risk-related data using statistics

• Working experience building and evaluating ML models used in customer-facing products. Experience with recommendations or decision-support systems is a plus

• Working experience in collaborating with engineers (Data Engineering/ML Ops) to productionize models

• Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with dbt, Airflow, docker or sagemaker is relevant

• Ability to explain data-driven insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
