Nature and Scope

Works with individual business customers, business groups and IT team members to evaluate and resolve day-to-day issues and support small to medium business and IT projects with hardware and software.  Has a intermediate understanding of technical processes, environments, problems and solutions as they relate to the facilities day-to-day operations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Installing Hardware such us Computers, Peripheral Equipment, Monitors, Keyboards, Printers, Disk Drives, Scanners, Mouse, Phones, etc. for Specific Users.
  • Installing Software Packages such as Operating Systems, Microsoft products, Engineering, Design, CNC, manufacturing software, Administrative and other Software, on Specific Computers.
  • Provide advanced Technical Assistance to end clients
  • Assist with preventative maintenance within specified guidelines and procedures
  • Responds to User inquiries concerning System Operations and troubleshoots Hardware, Software and Operator problems. Through Solar-CAT and Turbotec tickets incidents administrative tool
  • Execute hardware retirement and scrap process for IT hardware
  • Ensure IT devices meet Corporate Security Standards
  • Manage software and OS patch remediation
  • Utilize and maintain knowledge bases, white papers, FAQs, and vendor documentation
  • Contribute to documentation of incidents, internal processes and procedures, maintenance of equipment, and training manuals
  • Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users
  • Assist and interact with hardware, software and services vendors
  • Assist clients with the better option to saving cost
  • Assist with Assessments and LTA task and activities related to Cybersecurity and request.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Technology Advising: Knowledge of effective advisory methods and ability to provide valued information and advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services and solutions for a specific technology domain.

Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.

Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.

Minimum Qualifications 

Degree or equivalent experience desired.

  • High School Diploma/GED or 2-year degree, or 2+ years of relevant work experience. 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with non-technical end users and technical colleagues. 
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to multitask. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
